Live Stream Recorded Files with Closed Captioning

We are excited to release this industry first feature that will help live event producers simplify and improve their workflow. Say goodby to common live broadcast mistakes.

How to do this? First, record a presentation. Use editing software to trim it, add graphics and titles, send the file to a closed captioning service and get a matching WebVTT captions file. Next, upload the recorded MP4 and .VTT files to your Videolinq account. Configure your target destination for the broadcast (example: Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn or video platforms like Vimeo, Kaltura, or Dacast). Now, simulate a "live broadcast" - start the live stream and see video with closed captioning streaming live on up to 25 destinations at the same time!

In summary, if you want to live stream from a recorded file and add closed captioning to your broadcast, do this in your Videolinq account:

  1. Upload a single or multiple recorded MP4 files and their matching closed captioning files (.VTT format). Tip: how to prepare MP4 files.

  2. Configure destinations, or create an embed player code.

  3. Start the broadcast manually, or schedule for later.

  4. Video with closed captioning will show in the player, or in the destinations you selected. Your audience will think that this is a live broadcast. Period.
