A new partnership between 1CapApp and Videolinq helps broadcasters add real-time closed captioning on live video sent to social media platforms. The workflow is simple, cost effective, and efficient. All you will need is a stenograph operator, access to a 1CapApp account, and any Videolinq plan. Here is what you need to do:
Step 1: Open a Videolinq account and login to the media dashboard. Create a Channel, Destinations, and a video Source. Find under the channel preview player the "closed captioning credentials". Copy the stream key and password. See tutorial video: https://videolinq.com/video-tutorials.

Next, go back to the 1Capapp home page and click on the “Quickstart” icon. Drop down the “Videolinq” option and type in the channel “stream key” in a form of “ddddddd:bbbbbbbb” (see image 3 below).

Step 3: Copy from the Videolinq channel page the "Encoder" RTMP path and stream key to your hardware or software RTMP encoder. Start the video source. Confirm you see video in the Videolinq preview player.
Step 4: Ask your stenograph operator to send captions data to the 1CapApp service. Confirm you see closed captioning in the Videolinq preview player. Click “Go Live” and enable output video to all the channel destinations.
Step 5: Video with closed captioning will display on supported platforms and services. Viewers will be able to enable/disable closed captioning on their player.
